365 Pictures: Day 2

I’ve got some vague idea that the title of this is something like “Upstream.”

I keep getting this mermaid feel from these pictures.  I took a bunch of pictures on that rock in the middle of the picture, but I didn’t think about how bright the sun was out there so they’re all super washed-out.  I took some cute ones on the closer rocks in my jeans.  One of them is now my Facebook profile pic.

I like this one too, but it’s not my favorite.  I had so many ideas when I found this spot up Big Cottonwood Canyon, but not all of them paid off.  I think I’ll have to go back there sometime soon, maybe at a different time of day, when the sun’s not so bright.

I also had a great idea about this rock.

I was going to wade out to it and then do a great “mermaid-esque” pose.  When I first started to go out I got up to my knee and still couldn’t find the bottom.  So I make my way out on the rocks down there (and almost fall in), then when I finally get out to the rock there is slime.  Creek slime.  It was gross.  So I get situated, but it’s been too long and the remote timed out.  I gave up on that idea.  But it would’ve been awesome.
